Definitions
"Carrier" means Südvik Line A/S. "Merchant" includes the shipper, consignee, holder of the bill and owner of the goods.
Carrier's responsibility
The carrier is responsible for the goods from receipt at the port of loading until delivery at the port of discharge, subject to the Hague-Visby Rules.
Merchant's responsibility
The merchant warrants the accuracy of the description, marks, weight and verified gross mass of the goods, and compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
Freight and charges
Freight is earned on receipt of the goods and payable whether or not the goods are lost or damaged. Demurrage and detention apply per the applicable tariff.
